Every once and awhile, life gets terribly sad and boring. I found myself in one such place and performed a personal joy experiment. My hope is that by sharing my journey out of depression, you might find your own joy as well!

Every once and awhile, life gets terribly sad and boring. I found myself in one such place and performed a personal joy experiment. My hope is that by sharing my journey out of depression, you might find your own joy as well! 

How to find your Happiness

I recently went through a phase where life really seemed to lose its charm for me. I felt deeply bored and frustrated because I wasn't living my purpose. I made an intentional decision to start an exploration of why I was so bummed out and even better, what really makes me happy. Through my own "Personal Joy Experiment," what I discovered was amazing. I spent 10 days actively choosing to derive more joy from my life.

At the end of that experiment I had learned a great deal about myself and discovered many of my own gifts to life. By no means is it a linear, easy process to navigate. But, what I did find was that the feeling of depression lifted out of me as I started to actively realign my life with my purpose. I realized that so much joy can be found when you commit to follow your heart and dedicate your life to something bigger than yourself. I welcome you to join me on this somewhat cheeky journey to find more joy in life.
